When importing automobiles, there are import regulations related to the year of manufacture in some countries. The year of manufacture is not listed on the car registration certificate, so you need to check it. The first registration year is listed on the car registration certificate. The first registered year indicates the month and year when the car was first registered in Japan. Please note that this does not indicate when the car was manufactured.
To check the month of manufacture of the vehicle, select “MAKER”, enter or paste the vehicle chassis number, and then press the “Check” button.

The year of manufacture can also be checked by checking the seat belt. This is recommended if you have a car nearby.
