Nissan’s finest SUV that declares the King of Offloaders is Safari. It employs a part-time 4WD that can run economically 2WD and is equipped with a 245hp 4.8L in-line 6-cylinder DOHC gasoline engine. In this minor change, the interior and exterior have been drastically changed, the design of the front grille, front / rear bumper, front / rear fender, hood panel, head / rear lamps, etc. have been changed.
The interior of the 2-3-seater with seven passengers is wood-grained, genuine leather combination steering and suede-like cross seats for a luxurious look, and adopts a new-shaped seat with high-quality Alcantara on the skin.
The mission is a 5-grade automatic with manual mode only, a monograde setting of the highest grade Gran Road Limited of the wagon body.
Safety equipment includes dual airbags, ABS and a pretensioner seat belt with a load limiter, and an engine immobilizer as standard to prevent theft.
September 1999 release model
The Safari, which emphasizes driving performance and reliability in a cross-country run, adopts a conventional part-time 4WD.
The front hub is a dual type with an auto that can be locked / free from the inside of the car and an always-locked type with high reliability.
It has two types of bodies: a 4-door with a long wheelbase of 2970mm and a 2-door with a wheelbase of 2400mm.
There are two types of 4-door engines: 200-horsepower 4.5L and 160-horsepower 4.2L diesel turbo.
The 2-door version is a 135 horsepower 2.8L diesel turbo only. The mission will be 4AT for gasoline only, and 4AT and 5MT for both diesel models. The suspension is a rigid type with 3 links at the front and 5 links at the back, and the spring adopts a coil.
A release mechanism for the rear stabilizer, a rear differential lock, and an electric winch are available as options on all vehicles.
February 1991 release model
Safari, a large cross-country vehicle from Nissan. One size larger than the previous model 160, to match the newly designed frame and suspension.
The “Extra” model is available for the four doors with a long wheelbase, and a “Hardtop” model is available for the two doors with a short wheelbase.
The engine is a 4.2L inline 6-cylinder OHV diesel (TD42 type), Available in basic “DX”, standard “AD” and advanced “Grand Road” models, you can also select an extra high roof specification (+ 180mm) or an AT car from 1988.
