There are two types of bidding methods: live bidding and Tender bid.
Live Bidding
Most cars purchased at Japanese car auctions are purchased through live bidding.
Live bidding is done via a computer system.
Scheduled cars are displayed on the screen in sequence, at set times, and bid on the car using something like a joystick in a computer game.
Bidding is very fast.
The auction is performed in about 10 to 30 seconds per unit.
In the meantime, we and other bidders across Japan will click the button to make multiple bids.
When the button is pressed, the price gradually increases. One click increases the bid by 3,000 yen.
You get the right to buy when you click, but lose your right when your competitor raises your bid with a click. When the auction ends with the right to purchase, you can purchase a car at the bid price at that time.
Tendered Bids
Tendered Bids (called Sasine in Japanese) is a tool that you sometimes use to buy a car. Most auctions are bidding live.
However, if live bidding is not available, we will submit the bid that was bid at the highest bid.
Each bidder submits the highest bid, and the bidder who submits the highest price can buy the car.
This is different from live bidding, where if you buy a vehicle using bids, you will buy the car at the highest bid you submitted to the auction.
If the same car had participated in a live auction auction, it would probably have been cheaper to buy.
